I didn’t see the game but the big story of the game was apparently Maniche’s performance. Many are saying he was the player of the game: defending, creating & almost scoring. This is very good news; he is trying to prove Aguirre was not wrong in keeping him on (we need him big time). This was a sorry Malaga side but I don’t see Atleti dropping many points at home this season. Our 3rd striker Sinama apparently scored the Golazo of the game (Mista – eat your heart out!!!!!)……can’t wait to see the highlights. We will probably sleep in 1st place tonight!!!!!

Of last season’s top 3, none could win their game. Barca and Real lost while Villareal drew. We are top f the table until the next game at least.

What a game, especially since it could’ve been like 8-0 if we took our chances (e.g. hit the post, maniche’s header, and extra opportunities in the last 5/10 minutes). I’m excited now, I went on goal.com which has a la liga team of the week every week, and ATLETICO HAD A DEFENDER ON IT!!!!!

Yes I agree…for some good reason we have a defender in the best 11 list. Also did anybody notice that Pernia did not get a card in 2 consecutive games and played well in both of them??

Good to read that Valera is out of the club for this season. He wasn’t going to get much playing anyway!

Valera had such an unlucky season last year. I hope he stays away from injuries and have a good season with Racing.

Also, I’ve read that Motta is a free agent as he couldn’t find a club to sign him after failing the medical exams.
I think signing him was a huge mistake. 2 million euros gone down the drain.

not including the insane annual salary i hear he had. the fact that that scumbag even rejected our offer of a pay per game contract after all the money we threw away for him to play 6 games is incredible
