Jornada 35: Atlético de Madrid v Recreativo

Posted by atleti on May 3, 2008

If we don’t win we can kiss our Champions League spot goodbye.

Just do it.

STARTING 11: Leo Franco; Antonio López, Pablo, Perea, Pernía; Maxi, Luis García; Forlán, & Agüero.

The major doubt for Aguirre is in the midfield: Raúl García, Cléber, or Camacho.

The choice seems obvious to me…

LET’S JUST WIN.

That’s all that matters.

What do you guys think about this whole Aguero to Chelsea thing that’s going on. I’m pretty unhappy they might just match his buy-out clause.

I think it would be crazy and a complete blow to our 08/09 campaign! Besides that, surely there are other strikers out there that would fit into their system better than Kun.

    Their strikers at the moment:
    Drogba
    Kalou
    Shevchenko
    Pizarro
    Anelka

I think it’s safe to say that Sheva and Pizarro will be shown the exit. Not sure if Drogba will leave– he has talked about eventually leaving England to play in Italy or Spain. Maybe Chelsea will go for Villa, Huntelaar, etc…? I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

I was reading that Abromovich has decided that he doesn’t like the way the team plays, he wants Chelsea to play more attractive football and he thinks that Kun is the perfect player and fits the bill for the type of players that they want, they have been watching him for quite a while now, and from what i’ve read they’re not going to be easily put off.

I think Atletico should renegotiate his contract.

An easy win against an easy team. Not quite the show, but good enough to secure the 3 points.

Great win. Luis Garcia, Maxi, Camacho and Aguero were absolutely terrific. Now, let’s hope they continue like this.
By the way, i hope Atletico appeal Raul Garcia’s yellow card, coz it was crap refereeing decision and if they don’t then he will be out of the next game, coz he’s picked up 5 yellows.
Greta save by Franco as well, in fact all in all everyone played well.

We’ve been playing crap against some of these easy teams, so it was well won. Also, important to go into the next game on a high note.

once again, just when atletico make me as sick to my stomach as i possibly could be, they impress me with such a dominating performance. it was such a joy to watch our forwards actually get the ball without going on our own half to get it!

Looks like the Atleti(blog owner) is busy…

Today we have Espanyol x Atletico.

the last 5 matches are pretty incredible for them:

    Temporada 2006-07 Atlético Espanyol 1-2
    Temporada 2005-06 Espanyol Atlético 1-1
    Temporada 2005-06 Atlético Espanyol 1-1
Espanyol won 3, Atleti won ZERO, 2 draws.

    Atletico goes with:
    Leo Franco,
    Pernia, Perea, Pable, A López
    Luis Garcia, Camacho, P.Garcia, Maxi,
    Aguero and Forlan.

    Espanyol with:
    Lafuente,
    Zabaleta, Torrejón, D.Garcia, Chica,
    Rufete, Angel, Lola, Riera,
    L. Garcia,
    J. Soriano

    Before the game coaches’ comments:
Aguirre: “The fundamental is to win at Barcelona”
Valverde: “Sometimes we look like worst than we are.”

Hope Valverde’s comment keep being true after the game.
