Jornada 36: Espanyol v Atlético de Madrid

Posted by atleti on May 8, 2008

There’s not much else to say except this is another MUST-WIN fixture! No ifs, ands, or buts.

After such a bright start to the season, Espanyol have been experiencing a severe downward spiral. Let’s bring more misery to the Pericos, I say!

Only two games left this season!

I have today off, thankfully, which means I can watch the game. I will watch a delayed viewing on GolTV, but will follow it on the Internet while it’s live.

MEDIA ALERT! Don’t forget to check out BBC’s “THE RISE OF SERGIO AGUERO” article! Click here for it.

We have been the whole season playing badly. Next season, we will see how we will play. Now, it is time to win. It is necessary to win, at any price. Yes or yes. Some people will say that if we are not able of winning today, we do not deserve to play the Champions League. But I say that, today, this evening, goals are not to be deserved. Goals, today, this evening, are just to be scored.
    un abrazo

Espanyol didn’t win a single match in the last 6 plays…we should take advantage of this and win this match. Raul Garcia can play, hopefully together with Camacho. Win now, and we’re three points behind Barcelona. Getting third would be wonderful! (altough the possibility is probably zero).

    Forza Atleti!

Espanyol suffers from many injuries, something we should take advantage of. Agüero created a huge chance for himself in the 8th minute, but let the ball bounce off his feet.

    Luis Garcia was close there…

Espanyol doesn’t look strong after those 2 goals.

The defence of Atleti looks strong so far…very nice for a change.

Will they finally fight until the end? Looks like it…

great result for the club. now if we can be somewhat intelligent in the market we will be good to go. not that i have any confidence in pitarch, carezo and the other clowns.

Ujfalusi would be nice. Fiorentina doesn’t look like making it to the CL, and Atletico does…hopefully that would/will be a factor for Ujfalusi…great defender. Really like to see him @ Atletico.

  21. Grande el Kun.

Espanyol without Kameni, Jarque, De la Peña and Tamudo is a poor team but for us, better. Only one match more. Greetings from Spain.
