Braulio Nóbrega: New Striker for Atletico Madrid?
Posted by atleti on July 13, 2007
With the below entry discussing the foreign element of the squad and the possibility of sending Brasilian Diego Costa on loan, I thought I’d focus an entry on striker Braulio Nóbrega, a product of the Atletico Madrid youth system (it was in the news today). He was sent on loan to Salamanca last season, where he started 36 games and scored 14 goals.
Recently, Braulio has been the subject of a possible transfer move to newly promoted Real Valladolid, but has come out to make it known he’d prefer to stay with los rojiblancos, to prove his worth in the senior level.
And why not?
If given the opportunity, he may prove to be an asset to the team; he’s youthful and full of ambition & confidence.
At this point, Atleti have Forlan, Aguero, Mista, Diego Costa, and Braulio as striking options.
Let’s see how things pan out in the coming week.
