The Waiting Game (Part II)

Posted by atleti on July 7, 2007

I hate rumours and speculation because they’re meaningless until officially confirmed. That said, they persist and I can’t avoid them! Supporting a club like Atletico–in the process of rebuilding–you can’t help it.

The Big Two At the Moment:

Ricardo Quaresma
I wrote about him briefly in Part I, but the rumours surrounding the 23 year old midfielder persist, with Liverpool entering into the picture as a possible bidder. The appeal? He can play in both the left and right wing– in addition to the hole.

Simao Sabrosa
27 year old winger/striker has recently been linked to los rojiblancos and has been ‘flattered’ by the interest of possibly being a target. He’s certainly seen as an alternative to Quaresma now that Atleti appear to face competition from Liverpool for Quaresma.

No further discussion on them as they are not part of the Atleti family.

Stay tuned.
